Education:

  • Encourages new committee members.
  • Hold a series of educational events on multiple formats.
  • Work with partners to endorse and promote their educational events to PAW members.
  • Try to hold events in under-served areas, rotating annually.
  • Liaison with Annual Conference Committee to plan Annual Conference
  • Staying on top of member trends to deliver relevant topics.
  • Topic scoping

Annual Conference:

  • Encourages new committee members.
  • Recruit speakers, topics, and organize tracks to provide meaningful engagement with a focus on inclusivity and welcoming.
  • Networking Opportunities
  • Encourage Students
  • Fundraising for Students
  • Coordinates with committee members to plan and execute successful annual conference.
  • Planning of mobile workshops and conference activities
  • Providing a variety of AICP credits
  • Budget management

Outreach & Engagement:

  • Encourages new committee members.
  • Pursues initiatives to encourage new memberships (especially student, officials, counties, and regional groups)
  • Communicates with potential members (outreach and recruiting)
  • Membership retention
  • Work with partners to endorse and promote their educational events to PAW members.
  • Coordinate Social events that encourage fun interaction not available at educational events.
  • Encourage member involvement in all aspect of PAW (Board of Directors, volunteering for activities, including Committees)

Budget & Resource:

  • Encourages new committee members
  • Helps design sponsorship program and targeting prospects.
  • Monitors sponsorship programs for effectiveness and ongoing opportunities.
  • Finds ways to differentiate the PAW brand and offerings.
  • Approving PAW branded materials
  • Set annual budget.

Awards:

  • Encourages new committee members.
  • Work with APA for annual awards
  • PAW hosts Awards bi-annually.
  • Supply plaques and certificates bi-annually
  • Communicating announcements around awards.
