Salary: $100,644-$134,184 Annually

Job Description:
The City of Ellensburg is currently seeking qualified applicants for Community Development Director. The ideal candidate is someone who is energetic and community-minded with experience in all aspects of community and economic development, including planning, zoning, SEPA/shoreline compliance, building, permitting, historic preservation, and housing.
This position provides collaborative leadership to a great team, administrative oversight, technical guidance, and accountability for ensuring all projects and programs are accomplished with professionalism and to the highest possible standard of quality and customer service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Geography, Construction Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or other related field
- Five (5) years progressively responsible experience performing related duties in planning, community development, housing and/or redevelopment
- Three (3) years of management responsibility
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in City or County community development department
- Master’s Degree in a related field
- ICC Certifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish
