Western Planner
PAW and Western Planning Resources
PAW is a sustaining organization for Western Planning Resources, Inc. (WPR), a network for providing information and education about the unique aspects of planning in the west. Serving western planners since 1979, WPR is also the publisher of The Western Planner, a journal of information and ideas published eight times a year for planners, their boards and commissions, and their multiple publics.
The Western Planner is written by its readers and has a format which consists of articles (approximately 1,500 words), graphics and photographs. Articles are reviewed by the editorial board and returned to the author and editor for final revision before publication. Anyone who has an interest in producing an article for the magazine is encouraged to contact the editor (see below) for details.
Other services provided by WPR include an annual conference, an awards program, an endowment fund, and more. PAW is proud to be a part of this organization respected across the western United States for its productive work in the field of planning.
